Cookies and browser storage

Necessary: zaoda-session and XSRF-TOKEN cookies support sessions and form security and last for 2 hours, renewed by website activity. The zaoda:consent local storage record remembers this privacy choice until its expiry. Optional analytics: zaoda:analytics:visitor uses local storage; zaoda:analytics:session and zaoda:analytics:last-activity use session storage. A new analytics session begins after 30 minutes of inactivity. These identifiers are removed when analytics is declined, consent expires or the consent version changes. Session storage normally ends with the browser tab; browser settings can also clear site data.

Function and interfaces

Power equipment can require motor covers, gear or starter housings, brackets and electrical boxes. Identify each component function and operating environment instead of assigning a generic capability from the sector name. Pressure boundaries, rotating interfaces and load-bearing mounts need their own requirements and validation.

Casting and machining review

Coordinate casting sections with machining datums, thermal paths and service access. Mark protected fits, seal lands and grounding zones before selecting the finish. Define required material evidence, dimensional reports and functional tests in the quotation. Certifications, pressure ratings and durability targets must come from the project requirements and verified evidence.

Requirements to define

Interface Review requirement
Mechanical Shaft, bearing and mounting relationships
Thermal Duty, temperature and contact interfaces
Boundary Seal, fluid or enclosure requirements
Service Cleaning, access, finish and replacement

Example of a project decision

For a powered pump assembly, review both the motor mounting relationship and the finished fluid boundary. One general inspection line cannot cover both.

Information for a quotation

Send the controlled 3D model and drawing, material specification, finish, order quantities and delivery needs. Include mating parts, critical characteristics and required test records. The quotation should identify the casting, machining, finishing and inspection scope, together with any open decisions. Request a drawing review.

From drawing to delivery

One controlled manufacturing route

  1. 01

    Define the interfaces

Shaft, bearing and mounting relationships. Review the mating component and controlling drawing.

  2. 02

    Review tooling and stock

Resolve release, wall transitions and the features that need machining before cutting steel.

  3. 03

    Validate production-intent samples

Cleaning, access, finish and replacement. Identify the sample state and record open decisions.

  4. 04

    Release the agreed deliverable

Confirm the finish, functional checks, records and packaging for the accepted component.

What information is needed for this component?

Supply the model and controlled drawing, material, finish, quantities and mating interfaces. Include the application conditions and required tests so the proposed route has a defined acceptance basis.

How should mechanical be specified?

Shaft, bearing and mounting relationships. Include the mating geometry, operating conditions and required inspection or validation. Confirm the proposed route on production-intent samples before repeat supply.
